Yesterday, the Children’s Joy Foundation went to our office to personally greet us a Merry Christmas through Christmas carols! It has become a tradition here in our office to welcome these children from this foundation especially during Christmas season. Just like last year, they sang Christmas songs, played different musical instruments, danced with it and many more. They are talented kids.
My attention was caught by this one kid from the group, she seemed to be the leader of their group, I can still remember her from their last year’s visit. She’s a big girl now, and she’s one of the most talented from all others, aside from that girl who can effortlessly play a violin.
I just hope that somehow we brought joy to them as what they do to us every time they visit. These are abandoned kids, kids that doesn’t have parents anymore, kids that are looking for love and care from others. I know that Bro will guide and protect them as they grow, Merry Christmas to you guys! Keep smiling!
Christmas in the City of Makati

Two nights ago, Jec, Kat, and I had dinner at Greenbelt 3. Nothing much, we just wanted to catch some things up, for I haven’t seen Jec for a long time now (Exag?). Haha. We had a walk along Paseo going to Greenbelt 3 rather than the usual fx ride. It was cold back then. While walking, Jec and I realized something, that it’s my second Christmas here in Makati, and third for Jec. See how time flies so fast? We’re getting old. Darn. More pressure on me, who will celebrate birthday on the next month. Haaays.
Enough of that, good thing I have my cam with me (what’s new?), I get to take some pics of how beautiful Makati Triangle is during the night. Enjoy the season! I wish I could have someone to hug during this cold weather. LOL

Stolen lyrics
We watch the season
Pull up it’s own stakes
And catch the last weekend
Of the last week
Before the gold and the glimmer have been replaced
Another sun soaked season fades away
You have stolen my heart
You have stolen my heart
Invitation only
Grant Farewells
Crash the best one
Of the best ones
Clear liquor and cloudy eyed
Too early to say goodnight
You have stolen my heart
You have stolen my heart
And from the ballroom floor
We are in celebration
One good stretch before our hibernation
Our dreams assured and we all
Will sleep well
Sleep Well
Sleep Well
Sleep Well
Sleep Well
You have stolen my
You have stolen my
You have stolen my heart
Watch you spin around
In the highest heels
You are the best one
Of the best ones
We All Look Like We Feel
You have stolen my
You have stolen my
You have stolen my heart
FYI.. ROAR!

I am skim reading through my friend’s overly cheesy blog just now and found out that according to the chinese calendar, next year would be the year of the TIGER! I know, I am a tiger by heart and by soul. I am born under the year of the mighty claw of a roaring tiger in 1986 (a year tagged to the tiger also),and raised a true YELLOW growling tiger, being a proud Thomasian in college.
I am excited for next year! I can feel that 2010 is going to be my year! I am feeling so positive with the new year. Can’t hardly wait for Christmas also.

You haven’t heard much about me lately. I’ve been really busy -with work, family, friends, etc. I guess, I’m overworked, tired and all, yet I’m happy. I’ve never been this happy ever since this year started.
I’m happy that I’ll be closing 2009, with memories as great as these. I guess the Cebu-Bohol vacation triggered this feeling. I don’t know what feeling it is exactly, but I know, it kicked all the negative loads I have been carrying that now I’m back to my old carefree self again.
My Dad is in Japan right now for work. It’s freaking cold out there, and I’m praying that he’ll be pretty fine though he’s alone. I’m happy that he finally got a new job after more than a year of being part of the huge chunk of the unemployed population. I can feel his sorrow when he was forced to resign. He appeals to be happy in front of us, but I know he’s not. I know him and Mama are really overjoyed when Sato-san, my Dad’s good Japanese friend helped him find a job in Japan. And seeing his genuine smile after breaking that wonderful news to the whole family made me and my sister Jen really happy.
About my work. I realized that I’m okay with it. I can’t discuss it in details here, but I’m staying.
I so love my friends. Every memory turns into gold if I spent it with them. And speaking of Gold, I need a gold mine this December so that I would have the money to buy gifts for these people I call my “intimate friends“. haha
“ADIK ka Jec, literal“, Tr would often hit me with that line nowadays. What can I do my friend? I can’t control it! It’s really addicting! But I know, you and Ruru are always here to make me stay in control by force. haha
Bohol Day Tour

Things have been busy this past few weeks, work, errands, check-ups, and all. So in short, there is so little time to blog. But for today, I’m giving it a shot, blogging while working. LOL. Nah, I just don’t wanna put into waste all the beautiful places that we have visited in Bohol.
After Chocolate Hills, there goes the Butterfly Farm…
Man-made Forest
Mang Jun told us that in order to graduate from school, one must plant a tree in this forest. Cool, right?
Hanging Bridge
Tr’s favorite tourist spot. Haha. I can still remember Tr shouting for help while crossing this bridge. Yeah, right.. “Nagbayad ng P10 para takutin ang sarili.”
Lunch Buffet at Loboc River
This was a very memorable experience, having lunch while cruising the Loboc river is such a romantic thing to do. *mushy* All in all, food was great, air is fresh (naman!), lunch buffet with friends, FTW!
At the end of the river, before it went back, it’ll stop on a corner to see locals performing. Amazing. They are composed of mothers, teens, and talented children of Loboc.
Tarsier
“Bohol Tarsiers (Tarsius Syrichta) measures 4 to 5 inches and is considered as the world’s smallest primate. Its size is no longer than an adult man’s hand and weigh only about 113 to 142 grams or four to five ounces. The primate belongs to the more primitive sub-order Prosimii or prosimian that dates back 45 million years.” Gets? Haha.
Source: http://www.bohol-philippines.com/tarsiers.html
Santa Monica Church (where all the pictorials are made. Haha)
This is a beautiful church, not the oldest but the interiors are amazing. If you get to see the movie of Sam Milby and Bea Alonzo’s “Close To You”, the scene where Sam proposed to Bea was shot in this Church. No wonder why they chose this location, there’s something in this place that will make you fall in love. Nye, masabi lang. Haha.
Baclayon Church
“The Church of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception in Baclayon is considered to be one of the oldest churches in the Philippines. It is one of the best presevered Jesuit build churches in the region, although in the 19th century, the Augustinian Recollects added a modern facade and a number of stone buildings that now surround the church.”
Source: http://www.bohol.ph/article8.html
Mang Jun’s trivia: Did you know that Baclayon Church is made of blocks of Corals? Yeah. Awesome!
Last stop for our Bohol Day tour: Blood Compact (“Blood Campact” as per Mang Jun, slang slang-an. Haha. )
“Also at Bohol, Legazpi was given a hostile welcome. From his Malay pilot, he learned that this hostility was due to marauding expeditions of the Portuguese. Coming from the Moluccas, the Portuguese raiders traversed the Visayan seas, and just a few years before, in 1563, had plundered Bohol and killed or enslaved about one thousand of its inhabitants. Of course, the Boholano’s easily mistook the Spaniards for Portuguese.
Again with the help of his pilot, Legazpi explained two chiefs of Bohol, Datu Sikatuna of Bool and Datu Sigala of Loboc that they were not Portuguese, and had come in peace, and not to plunder or kill. This convinced the Kings to end their hostility and enter pact of friendship. On 16 March 1565 (or 25 March, records are confused due to the Gregorian calendar reform in 1584), Legazpi and Sikatuna performed the now famous blood compact, probably not far from the modern town of Loay. This event is still celebrated in Bohol every year in June with the Sandugo (“One Blood”) festival. The same ceremony was repeated three days later with Sigala.”
Source: http://www.bohol.ph/article26.html
Mang Jun also told us that before, some of the locals still practice this tradition, especially to those who want to be friends with them, or rather want to do business with them. An inch cut to their wrist, and a drop of blood is mixed to their local wine and both parties should drink it. Hmmm.
Chocolate Hills – Bohol
•November 26, 2009 • 2 Commentsby Ruru Pilapil
Our first stop for our Bohol Day Tour: Chocolate Hills.
Indeed, the most amazing view that I’ve ever seen. It was a perfect sunny Sunday when we went to Carmen, Bohol to see the famous Chocolate Hills. Thank God it didn’t rain on that day, because as per Mang Jun, weather in Bohol is very unpredictable. We’ve seen the Chocolate Hills at its finest, what a perfect day!
We enjoyed taking pictures with the Chocolate Hills as a background, the famous jump shot that brought us to sweat. LOL. Here are some pics:
A little info:
“The Chocolate Hills are probably Bohol’s most famous tourist attraction. They look like giant mole hills, or as some say, women’s breasts, and remind us of the hills in a small child’s drawing. Most people who first see pictures of this landscape can hardly believe that these hills are not a man-made artifact. However, this idea is quickly abandoned, as the effort would surely surpass the construction of the pyramids in Egypt. The chocolate hills consist of are no less than 1268 hills (some claim this to be the exact number). They are very uniform in shape and mostly between 30 and 50 meters high. They are covered with grass, which, at the end of the dry season, turns chocolate brown. From this color, the hills derive their name. At other times, the hills are green, and the association may be a bit difficult to make.”
Crawl – Chris Brown

I’ve been hearing / playing / singing this song for a week now. Weird.
Chris Brown is back!
Crawl Lyrics
Everybody see’s it’s you
I’m the one that lost the view
Everybody says we’re through
I hope you haven’t said it too
So where
Do we go from here
With all this fear in our eyes
And where
Can love take us now
We’ve been so far down
We can still touch the sky
[Chorus]
If we crawl
Till we can walk again
Then we’ll run
Until we’re strong enough to jump
Then we’ll fly
Until there is no end
So lets crawl, crawl, crawl
Back to love, Yeah
Back to love, Yeah
Why did I change the pace
Hearts were never meant to race
I always felt the need for space
But now I can’t reach your face
So where
Are you standing now
Are you in the crowd of my faults
Love, can you see my hand?
I need one more chance
We can still have it all
[Chorus]
If we crawl(if we crawl)
Till we can walk again
Then we’ll run (then we’ll run)
Until we’re strong enough to jump
Then we’ll fly
Until there is no end
So lets crawl, crawl, crawl
Back to love, Yeah
Back to love, yeaaah
[Bridge]
Everybody see’s it’s you
Well I never wanna lose that view
[Chorus]
So we’ll crawl (if we crawl)
Till we can walk again
Then we’ll run
Until we’re strong enough to jump
Then we’ll fly
Until there is no end
So lets crawl, crawl, crawl
So we’ll crawl (ooh)
Till we can walk again (till we can walk again)
Then we’ll run (we’ll run)
Until we’re strong enough to jump (until we’re strong enough to jump)
Then we’ll fly (then we’ll fly)
Until there is no end
So let’s crawl, let’s crawl, lets crawl
Back to love
Back to love yeah
Back to love
Coco Vida Bar and Restaurant – Panglao, Bohol
•November 24, 2009 • 2 Commentsby Ruru Pilapil
For our 3 days and 2 nights of stay at Bohol, there’s one resto that became our favorite. And that is Coco Vida Bar and Restaurant along Alona Beach, located exactly at the beachfront. Coco Vida became our dinner place for 2 nights, not only the food was great but also the service was superb.
We ordered the following:
On our first night at Bohol, we met Ate Ulai, one of the nicest servers from Coco Vida. Hands down to her, she’s one of the reasons why we decided to have dinner again at Coco Vida on our second night. She’s so adorable, and very accommodating too. I can still remember, she have this one notebook where guests can write whatever they want to write about her.
I wrote:
“Ulai, thanks for the good service. Keep up the good work. Keep Smiling! God Bless you always!
” - Ruru
On a paparazzi note:
Ulai was Cathy’s (PBB) classmate back in College. She did share some chisms about Cathy, which really made our night. LOL (fan)
Back to Coco Vida, the ambiance of the Bar is warm and relaxing. The sound of the waves while having dinner brought peace to our minds. The tables are filled with red place mats which made it very elegant.
We spent the night laughing, chitchatting, and all.
Back to our rooms, for Inuman and Basagan Night.
First night:
The finale, our Second night. which made some of us sick the other day going to Cebu, right Tr?!
Mang Jun of Bohol
•November 21, 2009 • Leave a Commentby Ruru Pilapil
“May name is Jun, you can call me, Mang Jun. And Welcome to Bohol!” *clap clap*
Mang Jun is our driver / tour guide for our Bohol day Tour. On our first day, he picked us up at Tagbilaran Sea Port going to Paragayo Resort at Panglao, Bohol (where we’re going to stay for 2 days). For our second day, he toured us around Bohol, from Chocolate Hills at Carmen, Bohol, to different churches and to the cheapest stores where we can buy pasalubongs.
I usually seat in front with Tr during rides, as punong abala of the trip. And most of the time, we (Tr, Mang Jun, and I) have the nicest and most informative conversation about Bohol. Mang Jun is smart, he’s not the usual tour driver that only drops you on your destination, but he always make sure that before we went down on his van, we have this short info about the place. He also know a lot of trivias, things that you can’t learn from books. He is really a certified Boholano, I can sense that he loves what he’s doing and enjoys being with people who is interested to know more about his beloved Bohol.
Here’s some of the things I’ve learned from Mang Jun about Bohol:
Do you know that tricycles in Bohol have a biblical passage at the back of them, it is required by the government. Boholanos are really religious, most of them are Roman Catholics.
And as what I’ve observed, most of the foreigners visiting / living in Bohol are British. Some of them even own a resort. As narrated by Mang Jun, only Britons have the capital to build a resort, and Filipinos only work for them. Yeah, sad but true.
For those who are planning to visit Bohol, and for Mang Jun’s contact number, just leave us a comment.

We have been planning this trip since February, and all of us are excited for this day. Finally the long wait is over and we got our dreams of being miles away from the stressful things at work and at home and enjoyed 3 days and 2 nights hustle free and pure fun.
Kat, Hans, Facebook buddy Wilson and I went to the airport together courtesy of Kat’s dad (Thanks tito!)
Thanks for Cebu Pacific for the smooth ride going to Cebu.
We had games while we are on the flight, that despite being aggressive raising my hands just to win (I’m very competitive! haha) I failed to get that souvenir prize from Cebu Pacific, lol!
Kat and I sat together in the plane and we had a Cebuano seatmate that told us a lot of great things about Cebu that made us more excited on what to see once we got there. And also to note we have Kiko Pangilinan and Pinky Aquino on the same flight as we do. I think the husband of Pinky Aquino won a prize for the game on board that i mentioned, that after claiming it, he stood up raised his hands exhibiting the famous Cory sign LABAN. tsk tsk, political tactics!
I noticed that being tourist at Cebu won’t be a problem. You can go there with our having a clear plan on what to do or where should you go. Just outside the airport there are tons of tour guides waiting outside that could give you a nice tour around the city for a very reasonable price. Transportation also is not a problem for cars and vans for rent are everywhere. But of course, nothing beats having a concrete plan before going to vacation to avoid rushing and hustles. So it’s better to be prepared.
and off we go to the Cebu port.
We didn’t stay that long at Cebu. From the airport we immediately rush to the port to catch our SuperCat going to Bohol.
Upon reaching the port, we waited for an hour for our ride. The place where we stayed have a lot of food stalls so if ever you feel like eating you could just stand up and suffer from the problem of what would you like to eat for there are a huge variety of food stalls on the area. And just to share a funny experience, we tried buying Siopao at the port area, however when Hans got one and ask for the sauce (it’s the sauce that gives siopao that distinct taste right?) the vendor said “ito sir, catsup!” what???!!! Catsup for siopao. Yuck! So we did not bother to buy one anymore. hehe
There are also people offering massage while waiting, and I can see that the foreigners are really enjoying their stay at the port while being given a therapeutic massage for around a 100-150 Php, not bad.
I would just like to commend the port for having clean and very nice toilets. Hans and I were really amused on how clean it is,and also to add it’s modern toilet style makes us love to go there without having the fear of getting germs and do the things that we need to do there smoothly. haha
When the Ferry finally arrived, we all pulled our things up and we are ready to go. It’s an hour and 45 minutes ferry ride from Cebu to Tagbilaran, Bohol.
The Super Cat was amazing. All of us noticed it’s wonderful interiors, it’s even prettier that Cebu Pac’s. The seats are very comfortable, the whole gang had fallen asleep while we are on the ride except for Ruru and me.
We just took pictures of everyone the whole time. The movie being shown at the ferry is really boring! So we rather chat and take picture than to watch it.
And finally, land. Welcome to Tagbilaran! Yahoo!
Our contact tour master Mang Jun waited for us outside the port. We’ll tell you about Mang Jun on our next post.
While on our way to Panglao, we already had a sneak preview on what to see on Bohol. The place is very Rural. Most of the houses are still Bahay Kubos’ made out of nipa and wood. It is also noticeable that there are some huge houses around that we regard as “BAHAY ni MAYOR”, by seeing that, we can really sense the huge gap between the poor and the rich specially on rural areas like Bohol.
Finally after long hours of traveling through land, air and water we arrived at Paragayo Resort, Pangalao, Island.
Feels like heaven.
P.S.
While strolling at the beach, Hans saw this dog that resembles our lost dog Camille. My mom lost her a week before our trip. I miss Camille a lot.

The much awaited vacation for the month of November. We’ve been planning this trip for months now, and we’re just so glad that the time has come for us to unwind and relax. ![]()
We got the 8:30am flight going to Cebu via Cebu Pacific, I’m with my college friends and some friends, we’re 13 all in all, a big group, the more the merrier! Haha.
Ruru, Jec, Tr, Wison, Kat, Hans, Lau, Aldwin, Bunny, Nato, Reiziel, Camille, Elvin
We arrived at Mactan – Cebu Airport at around 9:15 in the morning. From the airport, we rented a van to drop us at sea port to catch our next trip via Supercat bound to Tagbilaran. It was long ride, about an hour and 45 minutes, but it was fun though, its also like riding a plane.
While everybody is asleep, Jec and I did some camwhoring. We’re bored, and we’re not used to sleeping during trips. LOL. And for PBB fanatics, we found out that Cathy is really famous in Bohol, she’s a SuperCat model. Haha. You can see a video of her during trips demonstrating on how to use a life vest. Stewardess ba. Haha.

As mentioned by my partner on the post below, we had a mini photo shoot in Bohol. As for me, here’s my favorite shot.
Photo taken by John Elvin Flores.
I love the rawness of the picture, and how the lights and shadows added to the whole feel of this photograph. This showcased the individualism enveloping the totality of the two of us, being the authors of this blog.
Oh well, I guess being good models added to the whole effect. lol.

DIG – INCUBUS
We all have a weakness
But some of ours are easy to identify.
Look me in the eye and ask for forgiveness;
We’ll make a pact to never speak that word again
Yes you are my friend.
We all have something that digs at us,
At least we dig each other
So when weakness turns my ego up
I know you’ll count on the me from yesterday
If I turn into another
Dig me up from under what is covering
The better part of me
Sing this song
Remind me that we’ll always have each other
When everything else is gone.
We all have a sickness
That cleverly attaches and multiplies
No matter how we try.
We all have someone that digs at us,
At least we dig each other
So when sickness turns my ego up
I know you’ll act as a clever medicine.
If I turn into another
Dig me up from under what is covering
The better part of me.
Sing this song!
Remind me that we’ll always have each other
When everything else is gone.
Oh each other….
When everything else is gone.
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, ohh
oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, ohhhh
If I turn into another
Dig me up from under what is covering
The better part of me.
Sing this song!
Remind me that we’ll always have each other
When everything else is gone.
Oh each other….
When everything else is gone.
Oh each other….
When everything else is gone.

Libera in Manila

While browsing some videos on youtube, I saw this clip that was performed by Libera here in the Philippines last October. I feel bad for not seeing this concert. Its once in a lifetime, and not to mention that I’m really a big fan of choirs. Being a choir member before, I was exposed to different choirs, but Childrens Choir really amazed me the most. They’re like angels from above singing praises for the Lord.

Here’s a clip from their concert last October at the PICC, they even sang “Bayan Ko”. Fantastic.
Here’s another song that really caught my ear, they are all gifted, especially the soloist. Oh, am I already in Heaven?

This day is a Stumble Upon day for me. I have nothing to do so better maximize my time by exploring the World Wide Web.
I stumble upon this site containing optical illusions and pictures.
I can still remember, I posted one on my Facebook, even tagged some of my friends to see how they find it.
Here’s the pic:
And now, read their comments:
@Cza: May point ka dyan. Haha. Exposed na sa kamunduhan. Nyaha. :p
*sigh* After so many days, now I can see the dolphins. LOL

Now stand up and take several steps back, roughly 15 feet away,
It will become… Marilyn Monroe.
—
Then immediately stare at a white area on the screen or at a sheet of paper. You should see a glowing light bulb!

Neat illusion!
That was fun! Haha

There’s no place like DIVISORIA
•November 8, 2009 • 1 Commentby Jec Chua
My friends, Ruru, Tr, laurice, Kat and I decided to go to Divisoria to buy things for our Cebu-Bohol trip and to do an early Christmas shopping as well. We decided to meet at LRT2 recto Station at exactly 7:30 am. Of course they are all late as always. hehe
How to get there:
Option 1: LRT line 1. Get off at Doroteo Jose Station (15 Php) – walk all the way to the link going to the line 2 Recto Station – ride a jeep going to Divisoria (7 Php)
Option 2. LRT Line2. 1. Get off at Recto Sation(14 Php) 2. Ride a jeep going to Divisoria.
from Monumento, you can ride a jeep going to divisoria. (11 php)
We arrived at exactly 8:30 a.m at Divi, and decided to go to our first STOP, the ever famous 168 Mall.
I thought SM have it all, but move over, 168 Mall got everything we can imagine! Starting from clothes, foot-wears, home decors, toys, school supplies, hardware supplies, lingerie, cook ware – you name it they got it and the thing that made it really famous is that they are selling this items at a very very low price (and you can still bargain) .”Palengke price” with the convenience of shopping at an air conditioned place and security roaming around -this is what makes it a heaven for budget conscious shoppers like us. At first the five of us were at group checking all the stuffs around, but we find it a bit unproductive so we decided to separate ways and just meet somewhere after. I am used shopping conveniently with Kat so we decided to stick together. We have the whole day but still the two of us felt that we need to beat the time shopping for we know that there are a lot in store for us in Divisoria.
The place was filled with irresistible stuffs to buy, so we declared it an ubos pera day again for us. We went way off our budget! We can’t say no to those things, we rarely have time to shop there.
After scanning all the goods at 168 mall, Kat and I decided to check the things outside. Things outside were way more cheaper! We bought the shades that we need for our trip for only 50 pesos each, beat that! Pretty shorts for 75 Php each, and Kat got a bag worth 200 pesos but looks like a winning 2000 peso worth of bag for me.
We then went to TUTUBAN. At the first stop, Kat and I spotted a very nice vest for only 75 pesos! I was really disappointed to know that I can buy a vest that looks much the same as what I bought at TANGO that is worth a thousand peso.
Kat has much to shop that day buying tops here and there. We both spotted a plaid Polo, which very much like the one that I want from Penshoppe costing 800 pesos, and this one was sold for only 170 Pesos. Wow! I look good in Plaid according to someone that’s why I love buying plaid polos, and of course I am a Harry Potter fan so I want to dress like him with the company of a pair of nice chuck taylor’s of course.
All of us met at McDo to fuel up, and we’re off again to check more things. This time I went with laurice to purchase some T-shirts for my brother’s and sisters. I got all of them nice vintage Tees for only a hundred pesos each.
We are dead tired afterwards yet we are happy.

Exhausted - Kat, me, TR, Laurice and Ruru
Ruru and I were really excited to show each other what we got, and we both graded our selves an A+ for being a good bargain hunter for looking at what each of us got there shows that we are really born to be good at hunting good stuffs.

Funky shirts Ruru bought

Divisoria, wait for us. We will definitely be back for more! hehe

Last October 31 marks the day when Tyrese Gabriel Chua, my nephew and inaanak entered the Christian world. I wasn’t able to make it to the church because of the bad weather conditions but I guess being present in the reception is better than not being present at all.

We (chia-er and I) are really excited for this day, that’s why we made sure that we’ll make the most out of this occasion. We took a lot of pictures together and enjoyed the kiddie party for Nathan, who is also celebrating his 7th birthday that day. That kid is really Bibo, showing off his dancing skills (ala Michael Jackson and Wonder girls hehe) and his super fun aura.

Birthday boy Nathan, his brother Nicholo (a.ka. Spider Man) and their cousin.
I guess the best part of that party is when Max’s mascot Chicky Boy came out and grabbed the lime light. We are so amused with a giant dancing chicken so we took this rare chance of having a photo with him. hehe

My cousins' Chia-er, Allen (He's not a mascot he's Allen :p) and me with Chicky boy
My Family wasn’t able to make it that day. Papa was sick, and Mama needs to stay home with him. My sister Jenn have to go to work, Daday got another engagement, while my brothers Poy and Jon were at the church to practice for tomorrow’s Mass. They are part of the youth music ministry. Jon plays the Bass while Poy is assigned on the lead guitar. Good thing my favorite Tita Beth is nice enough to accompany me to the said event. Thanks Tita and Tito, you two are the best!

Tito Ben Tan, Tita Beth Tan, Ate Vangie and Tyrese, me, my cousin Chia-er and Ate Guy

My cousin kuya Dhong's Family with wife Ate Vangie, chicky boys - Nathan, Nicholo and Tyrese and of course the original Chicky Boy himself.

As always, I haven’t been posting much for the past days, or weeks I guess. My schedule is really bombarded with lots of stuffs that’s why I have no time going online and update you guys. Good thing, my Sunday is free.
Last Monday -a holiday, I still went to work to fulfill my obligations as an analyst. Because of truckloads of issues I encountered finishing my task that day, I was unable to go to the cemetery with my family to visit my Lola. I promise, I’ll visit her there when I have the time. Maybe after our Cebu-Bohol trip, I’ll make time to bring her flowers.
Anyway, as usual, our team always wants to take a lunch out during holidays so that we wouldn’t feel like a total loser just staying glued to our workstations. That day, Nina was very persistent that we should have it at Sango, Rockwell.

With my new office mate Mela
Sango being a fast food, offered a variety of burgers prepared the Japanese way. I never imagined that my favorite Japanese food Yakiniku could turn into something like what I usually get at Mc Donald’s, it being turned into burger patties. I haven’t tried it though. I am not a risk taker when it comes to food, I being the “corny” type ordered the traditional burger and fries combo.

Burger and fries
If you’ll ask me about the taste, McDo’s burger and fries were way better. The burger served at Sango was nothing but plain ordinary, the presentation was not that great either considering that for this kind of meal I payed, Php150 ++, too pricey (Am I just being Kuripot or what?).
Mela ordered chicken burger, while Clarice tried one of their rice meal, Yakiniku Don. The chicken burger taste plain, and the Yakiniku Don they serve taste amazing, and the price? let’s say you could have a General’s chicken and Gising gising with rice and drinks at Recipes for what they paid .

Chicken burger

Yakiniku Don and Miso soup
I guess, it’s still great to try new stuff. At least i now know how an expensive plain burger taste.lol :p Is this what they call SOSHAL or what?
Don’t Panic!

Just minutes ago, I heard a siren all over Dela Costa Street. I thought it was just a fire truck passing by, I was surprised that it didn’t even stop and the siren gets louder and louder. Being curious about it, I went for one of our windows to see what’s really happening outside, I saw this one building, located just in front of ours full of smoke and fire trucks parked outside it.

Whoah! It’s my first time to see a building burning. I even saw a fireman rappelling from the 6th floor to the ground. I was in shocked, and honestly I’m a bit worried to the people trapped inside that one unit from the 6th floor.
Until I saw this one small banner posted in front of their building:
“WE ARE ON FIRE DRILL”
Fine. Ru, don’t panic! LOL

As a former choirboy, I can’t hide the fact that I’m addicted to Glee. Oh, how I miss my Glee days. *sigh*
Here’s one song that caught my ear from the latest episode of Glee, “Mush-Up”:
Sweet Caroline by Puck.
Where it began
I can’t begin to knowin
But then I know it’s growin strong
Was in the spring
And spring became the summer
Whod have believed you’d come along
Hands, touchin hands
Reachin out
Touchin me
Touchin you
Sweet caroline
Good times never seemed so good
I’ve been inclined
To believe they never would
But now I
Look at the night
And it don’t seem so lonely
We fill it up with only two
And when I hurt
Hurtin runs off my shoulders
How can I hurt when I’m with you
Warm, touchin warm
Reachin out
Touchin me
Touchin you
Sweet caroline
Good times never seemed so good
I’ve been inclined
To believe they never would
Oh, no, no
Sweet caroline
Good times never seemed so good
I’ve been inclined
I believed they never could
Sweet caroline
